Pittards produced the first guaranteed washable dress glove leather.

Perspiration resistant leathers were introduced to the RAF.

1975
Pittards produced its first WR100 (Water Resistant Tannage) leather for military use.

1980
John W W Pittard, the sixth generation family member of Pittards, was appointed Group Managing Director.

1980
WR100 leather technology wsa incorporated into sport-specific products providing water and stain resistance, breathability, durability and stay-soft feel.

1981
With the success of the revolutionary WR100 leather, Pittards and Titleist/Foot-Joy created Sta-Sof, the world's best selling golf glove.

1984
Franklin and Pittards engineered Digital textured leather, the first grip-enhanced leather for baseball batting gloves.
