WR combat boots

Pittards WR Combat leather has been specifically designed for Ministry of Defence standard UK/SC/5611 Issue 1. It is widely accepted within the industry as a very reliable product, having been manufactured to the highest standards. Passes the SATRA Age Bond sole adhesion test.

Water resistance
Pittards WR leather utilises a unique tanning process, which results in improved water repellency ensuring that the foot stays protected from external moisture in all weather conditions. WR leather will absorb less than 25% of its weight after a two-hour period.

Colour fastness
Pittards WR process guarantees excellent colour fastness to both dry and wet rubbing, as well as to perspiration.

Dry soft
Pittards WR leather has been designed to keep its softness and suppleness throughout the life of the product. It should always be allowed to dry naturally away from direct heat.

Corrected grain
Pittards version of the classic corrected grain leather. Smooth, shiny and hard wearing. It conforms to the Ministry of Defence standard UK/SC/5611 Issue 1.

HI-WR combat gloves

Perspiration resistance
Pittards HI WR leather has been specially treated to prevent the absorption of moisture including sweat into the glove and thereby protect the fibre structure from the detrimental effect of perspiration, thus retaining its softness and feel even after repeated exposure.

Water resistance
Pittards WR100 tannage offers an improved ability to resist moisture generated by rain, humidity or working conditions and greater insulation to protect the hands in all weather conditions. Low water uptake guarantees dexterity and overall comfort even under the most adverse conditions.

Soil resistance
Pittards HI WR leather is produced with improved resistance to oil and water based stains for a longer lasting appearance.

Strength
Although very strong, Pittards goat leather ensures exceptional dexterity, flexibility and breathability through the softness and run inherent in the base glove leather tannage.

Colour fastness
The WR100 process guarantees excellent colour fastness to both dry and wet rubbing and to perspiration.

Stay-soft
While ordinary leather tends to dry hard, Pittards Hi WR Combat Glove leather has been especially designed to keep its soft, supple handle even after repeated wettings.
