Pittards in Ethiopia has moved fast to adopt new and safe working processes in these challenging times. The team’s efficiency has been recognised...
We have worked hard to switch our Yeovil leathergoods production into making scrubs bags, which we have donated to health workers as part of a drive to help bolster supplies.
As part of the same initiative we have been making and donating leather heart keepsakes for distribution to families with loved ones in hospital and as a thank you to care workers.
Now the hearts are available to everyone to buy to help raise funds for our local NHS hospital in Yeovil.
“We have been humbled by extraordinary thanks we have received for, what feels to us like a small thing compared to the incredible work that all frontline workers are doing,” said CEO Reg Hankey. “We hope that the hearts will be used by people to send to family, friends and partners they can’t see right now – it seems a fitting way to raise money for our local NHS.”
We have also been able to turn our skills to making re-usable face masks for general use, which are available at a low cost via our website.
